Awesome ! Red Paper Heart happens to be one of my favorite creative studios. All of the projects they put together are always adventurous and hands on with child like imagination that draws you in at first look. Once again the creatives mix two of my favorite things music and interactive art to birth a cool new experience for this years South By Southwest festival. With the idea of being able to visualize any song the paper hearted crew used 5 projectors , a Microsoft xbox connect ,and the new Sonos playbar to transform a stark black and white 250 square-foot shed into a whimsical wonderland where users could interact with any song of their choice.
The awesome part about the Sonos Playground was the usage of the xbox connect which helped to register the movements of users once they stepped up to the Sonos controller. This project reminds me of what Hybe did with their interactive media canvas which was a great concept but in my opinion lacked in direction . Awesome display of creativity by Red paper Heart which makes me kind of jealous that once again I missed the SxSw boat. I guess there is always next year.
