The Last segment of take flight featured skydiver Felix Baumgartner and his record breaking jump from the edge of space to the earth. This week we bring you the trained pilot Jonathan Trappe who became a topic of interest in 2010 when he crossed the english channel using a cluster balloon system claiming the
title as the first to ever do so. Well the 38 year old Balloonist from North Carolina has made new and bigger plans. This new adventure up’s the anti of risk but I guess its go big or go home right ? Trappe is now looking to be the first cluster balloonist to cross the atlantic ocean . Over the decades crossing the Atlantic has caused many troubles for the adventurous balloonist 5 have died during the attempt and none have ever completed the journey attached to a balloon cluster. Jonathan Trappe is the real life version of Carl Fredrickson the smug old senior from Disney Pixar’s Movie Up and says that he has been dreaming of these flights since he was a child. Trappe and his crew are currently testing out the usage of a life boat for his next flight which will be a key piece in his survival during the crossing of the atlantic. Trappe is used to much short trips but with all precautions being taken he and his crew are sure he will be ready for the 2500 mile adventure when the time comes .
