Living in a town full of beautiful urban contrasts it’s almost impossible to not want to admire every nook and cranny of every building and home. It’s within this beautiful place - São Paulo,Brazil- is where you will find the extraordinary Casa Maracanã. Hidden behind a large ceramic tile work of art is the entrance to the beautiful home that was created by The Terra e Tuma Architects for the studio director and architect Danilo Terra. Although it’s labeled a home it seems more like a hidden layer to me ; the sunken living area that sits below street level kind of resembles somewhat of a secret hideout that blends in with its surroundings .The only difference is that being inside of this home doesn’t mean that your are separated from the world outside . A prime example would be the usage of external landscaping materials like chain linked fences used to create divisions in space as well as the vine like plants that climb along the chunky cinder block walls creating a synonymous feeling between inside and out .
